The Himalayan salt lamp is one of the most popular natural wellness objects — its warm, orange glow creates a comfortable and restful atmosphere while the salt's natural ionising effect helps improve air quality. These lamps come from the Himalayan mountain regions of Pakistan, home to some of the world's purest salt mines. Nine come in the pack.
Himalayan salt — a natural ioniser
Himalayan rock salt has a distinctive mineral composition — it contains over 80 trace elements, including iron (which gives it its characteristic orange-red colour), magnesium, potassium and calcium. When warmed, the salt lamp releases negative ions that neutralise the positive ions (electrosmog) emitted by electrical devices. This can improve indoor air quality and create a pleasant, natural atmosphere.
Warm light — rest and harmony
The orange-red glow of the salt lamp creates a uniquely atmospheric light — not too bright, not too dark. It creates a pleasant ambience in a bedroom, living room, meditation corner, bathroom or office alike. The natural form of each salt lamp is unique — no two are identical. A replacement bulb and cable are generally included with the set.
From Pakistan's Himalayan mines
The vast majority of the world's Himalayan salt comes from Pakistan's Khewra salt mine — one of the purest and oldest-worked salt mines in the world. The rock salt was deposited over millions of years and is still extracted by hand — it is part of local tradition. The pack of nine makes it easy to place a salt lamp in several rooms at once.
