HEM Musk Incense Sticks, Hexagonal Box

Musk incense by HEM with an intense scent, in a dark green hexagonal box from India. For anyone after a strong scent.

Musk-scented HEM incense sticks in a decorative dark green hexagonal box. The box is about 25 cm long, the sticks are made in India, and the scent is intense, bolder than floral, fruity or woody incense.

Where the name musk comes from

Musk was originally the name of a scent taken from the musk deer. Perfumers used it for centuries because it lingers and holds other scents together. Today the word names a type of fragrance.

A strong scent in small doses

It suits cool autumn and winter evenings spent indoors, when a strong, distinctive scent feels welcome. If you find lavender or rose too gentle, this is much stronger.

Light the tip of the stick, let it flame for a few seconds, then blow it out. From then on the glow creeps slowly down the stick and gives off the scent.

Less is enough with an intense scent. Burn it in a larger room, and once the scent has filled it, put the glowing end out in sand. You can relight the rest another evening.

Put the holder on a heat-proof surface, away from curtains and paper, and stay in the room while it burns. Air the room afterwards, especially in winter when the windows stay shut for long. Keep the smoke away from pets and birds.

The dark green box

The musk box is dark green, while HEM's patchouli comes in a green one. If you have both, check the label before you light up, so the scent you want ends up in the holder.
