HEM Hexagonal Incense Sticks – “Anti-Stress”

HEM “Anti-Stress” incense sticks in a purple hexagonal box about 25 cm long. Made in India, distinctive scent. One box.

These incense sticks come in HEM’s typical hexagonal cardboard box from India. The box is about 25 cm long and purple, with a pale swirl pattern and the English name “Anti-Stress” on the side. That is the name HEM gave this scent. The price is for one box; no holder is included.

What does it smell like?

We have no exact list of its scent notes. What we do know is that it is a distinctive scent you will notice clearly. If you prefer softer incense, we would point you to the White Musk in this series instead.

For quiet evening hours

Many people light incense once the house goes quiet and they can finally sit down. One stick is enough for a chapter of a book or a cup of tea. If you meditate, light it as you begin, so the scent marks the start of your practice.

How to light it

Push the bare end of the stick into a heat-resistant holder, light the tip, and after a few seconds blow out the flame. The glowing tip keeps burning slowly and gives off fragrant smoke. Stand the holder on a steady surface, away from curtains and paper.

Never leave it burning unattended, and open a window slightly. If you leave the room or go to bed, put it out by pressing the glowing end into a little sand or a heat-resistant bowl. Keep an opened box closed, in a dry drawer.

If you don’t have a holder at home, fill a ceramic mug or a small bowl with sand and push the stick into it. The ash then falls onto the sand rather than the table, and the stick won’t tip over.
