This 20 centimetre tall Hati-Hati angel figurine carries the 'Friendship' motif and is one of the most heartwarming pieces of the Indonesian woodcarving tradition. It is carved from hard suar wood in the country's mountain villages. It is a beautiful, symbolic reminder of the people we value most. The carved angel figure is a charming, warm-hearted piece that can adorn any living space.
Suar Wood – Warm, Natural Material
Suar wood (also known as rain tree) is widespread in Indonesia, a warm, medium-brown toned wood whose characteristic, darker grain patterns lend it a distinctive appearance. Suar wood is hard, durable and beautiful, developing a fine patina over time. Wood carvings made in Indonesia are generally produced with careful craftsmanship, following local woodworking traditions.
The 'Friendship' Motif
Friendship is one of the noblest forms of human connection: not a bond of blood, but a free choice. The 'Friendship' Hati-Hati angel is for those who wish to give a gift to a close friend, or to keep a reminder of what this bond truly means. It looks lovely on a shelf, desk or bedside table, where it stays in view every day.
How to Place It in Your Home
The 20 centimetre angel figurine is suitable for a shelf, bedside table, desk or any decorative surface. It harmonises well with natural material accessories, plants and boho-rustic style decorations. It is effective both alone and in a group.
