How is the handled variant different?
The first variant of the Nada Yoga series has a handled design, which makes holding and moving the bowl much easier. There is no need to place it on a table, so you can freely choose where to play it. This design is especially popular with those who like to follow the sound while moving, or want to show it up close to others.
How to play it step by step?
You hold the handle in one hand and the included wooden mallet in the other. Tapping the rim with the soft side gives a deep base tone that rings out long. Moving the mallet around the outer rim with steady motion makes the bowl sing. Meanwhile, you can slowly move and tilt the bowl and follow how the direction and richness of the sound change.
What is it good for at home and in group practice?
It is a good choice for opening or closing yoga practice, opening meditation, accompanying breathing exercises and even short sound observation moments with family or friends. The handled design is also comfortable for those who like to hold the bowl while others can listen. It also brings joy as a gift for a loved one already experienced with singing bowls.
Where to put it when not in use?
Store the bowl in a horizontal, dry place on a soft textile, so the handle and surface do not get scratched. Avoid draughty, very cold places and the close proximity of a radiator. On a shelf, the handled form is itself a decorative element in the room, showing it has become an important companion of daily life.
How to care for the surface?
You can regularly wipe it with a soft, dry textile and occasionally with a slightly damp cloth, then dry it well. Avoid abrasive sponges and corrosive cleaners, as they may damage the handle joint and the surface. With careful handling it will keep its deep, full tone for a long time.
