Halo Gemstone Lamp – Water, Aquamarine & Selenite

Aquamarine gemstone lamp with the sign of water, a downward selenite triangle. White LED light, USB powered, cable switch, 18 × 20.5 cm.

In the Halo series, Water stands for the element of water. Rough, pale blue aquamarine pieces sit along the inner rim of the black metal ring, and three selenite bars form a triangle pointing down in the middle. The ring is 18 cm wide, the lamp is 20.5 cm tall and the round base is 10 cm deep. It lights up with LED light and runs from USB.

Water's sign points down

In alchemy, water was marked with a triangle pointing down. The usual explanation is that water flows downwards, while fire rises. Because the tip points down on this lamp, most of the stones sit along the top and the sides of the ring.

Aquamarine means sea water

Aquamarine takes its name from the Latin “aqua marina”, sea water, after its pale blue-green colour. Sailors are said to have carried it as a lucky stone.

Water gives a white light, which brings out the cool, clear blue of the stones. It suits a bedroom, a bookcase or any light room with a bluish colour scheme.

Keep it out of the bathroom

However well the blue would match a bathroom, do not put it there. Selenite cannot take moisture, and steam slowly ruins its surface. In a dry room it stays beautiful for a long time. All you need to do is dust it now and then with a soft, dry brush, with the cable unplugged.

Connect the USB plug to a computer or a USB wall charger, and use the switch on the cable to turn it on and off. The natural stones vary slightly in colour and shape from piece to piece.
