Halo Gemstone Lamp – Fire, Carnelian & Selenite

Carnelian gemstone lamp with the sign of fire in selenite bars. Warm, yellowish LED light, USB powered, cable switch, 18 × 20.5 cm.

On this Halo lamp, rough orange-red carnelian pieces line the inner rim of the black metal ring, and a triangle of selenite bars stands in the middle. The ring is 18 cm wide; with its round base the lamp is 20.5 cm tall and 10 cm deep. Its rim lights up with LED light, powered by USB.

The sign of fire: a triangle pointing up

Alchemists wrote fire as a plain triangle pointing upwards. That same sign fills the ring here, made from three white selenite bars. The sign for air looks alike, only with a horizontal line through it.

Carnelian, the Romans' seal stone

Carnelian comes in many shades, from orange to brick red. The ancient Romans carved seal rings from it, because hot sealing wax does not stick to it. It is said to be a stone of courage and drive.

Fire shines with a warm, yellowish light. Even the selenite bars take on this colour, so the triangle looks golden. In the evening the orange stones seem to glow inside the ring, as if a small fire were burning on the sideboard. If you love warm colours, this is likely to be your favourite in the series.

On and off without pulling the plug

Plug the USB connector into a computer, a USB wall charger or a power strip with USB sockets. A small rocker switch on the cable means you do not have to pull the plug each time. Keep the selenite away from water and dust the lamp with a soft, dry brush.

Every lamp is made with natural stone, so the colour of the carnelian and the shape of the pieces vary a little from one to the next.
