Green fluorite tumbled stone: translucent, glassy calcium fluoride in soft greens. Tradition knows it as a stone of clarity and balance.
What is green fluorite?
Fluorite is calcium fluoride (CaF₂), a relatively soft mineral (~4 on the Mohs scale), characteristically glassy and often beautifully translucent. Its green hue comes from trace elements and can range from pale water-green to a deeper, saturated green, sometimes with banded zones. Tumbled, light enters deep into the stone, giving it that cool, distinctive glow.
In the language of tradition
In crystal lore, green fluorite is known as a stone of ordered thought and heart-centred balance; tradition links it to the heart chakra and it is said to help bring head and heart into harmony and to clear mental clutter. This is always understood within experiential tradition, never as a medical promise.
Holding it & good to know
Each piece is roughly 1.5–3.5 cm. As a natural mineral, every piece is unique: colour, shape and size may vary a little from the photograph. The tumbled stones are smooth to the touch and sit neatly in the palm, which makes them popular as a companion stone, a focus point for meditation, or simply a quiet detail in a room. A little lukewarm water and a soft cloth are enough to clean them; no harsh chemicals are needed.
