A small pot — this 350 ml one too — is not a matter of practicality but of quality. Those who choose a small pot would rather brew twice fresh than once big and lose interest as it cools. It brews for one or two, calmly. It suits green and herbal tea drinkers particularly, because those teas show their best with short steeps and modest quantities.
Who is it for?
For someone who loves meadows: footpaths, roadside wildflowers, late-summer fields. Who does not want royal pomp but a friendly, kind-spirited object on the kitchen shelf. For young adults or first-time movers, whose new flat needs a homely marker that says “someone lives here now.”
Brewing tips
For green tea (sencha, genmaicha) use 70-80 °C water, 2-3 minutes. Herbal tea (chamomile, lemon balm, lavender) takes 90-95 °C and 5-7 minutes. Fruit teas likewise need hot water. The pot looks particularly lovely with chamomile: the green pattern and sunny yellow infusion harmonise beautifully. A first hot-water rinse to “wake” the pot is recommended here too.
Care and cleaning
Dishwasher-safe, but hand washing is gentler on the fine painted detail. If you brew herbal tea, rinse the pot soon after use, as some essential oils can cling to the glaze. Store with the lid set aside, interior dry.
