What is this tea set for?
This is a classic "tea for two" set. Two cups, a small teapot — just enough for a couple's morning or afternoon brew. Not intended for serving a room full of guests, but for becoming a small, recurring ritual between two people. It also works well in an office shared with a colleague for regular tea breaks. The green tone is soothing and contrasts beautifully with yellow or brown-hued teas in the cup.
Who is it for?
Ideal as a gift for couples — engagement, anniversary, or setting up home together. A good fit for students and young adults who want one lovely tea set rather than a whole collection. Also suits people who prefer simple, functional objects that don't dominate the kitchen counter.
How to use it
Before first use, hand-wash with warm water. Rinsing the pot with hot water just before brewing keeps the tea warmer for longer. For green tea: 75–80 °C water, 2–3 minutes steep, and pour immediately into the cups to avoid bitterness. For black and oolong teas: 95 °C and 3–4 minutes for black, 85–90 °C and 3 minutes for oolong. When making green tea, let the boiled water rest 1–2 minutes before pouring it in.
Storage and cleaning
Hand-wash in warm water with a soft sponge. Avoid scouring pads and abrasive cleaners. If tea stains appear, add a few drops of vinegar, top with warm water, leave 10 minutes and rinse. Store on a dry shelf with the lid off so air circulates. Avoid stacking the cups inside each other for long periods — hairline scratches can form on the inner glaze.
