Smooth, tumbled green aventurine stones in a fresh, lively green with a subtle shimmer. The palm-friendly form is ideal as a pocket stone, for meditation or a mineral collection.
The stone of green aventurine
Green aventurine is the compact, microcrystalline form of quartz, its fresh green and subtle shimmer coming from tiny fuchsite inclusions (aventurescence); its Mohs hardness is around 7. A-quality stones show a vivid, full green and a silky sparkle. In crystal lore it is known as a stone of opportunity, and tradition links it with the heart chakra, creativity, decision-making and emotional balance.
The tumbled form
Tumbled stones gain their smooth, rounded surface through long polishing, which makes them sit pleasantly in the palm – a favourite as a pocket stone and meditation piece. This selection is mixed A/B quality: as a natural mineral, each piece can differ in shade, pattern and clarity, and every stone is unique. Pieces typically range between 0.5 and 2.5 cm.
Ways to use it
Green aventurine works beautifully as a pocket stone, in a workspace or a crystal corner, and makes a popular gift companion. Its fresh green brings a natural, renewing mood to a space.
Care and good to know
This is a durable mineral, yet it is worth protecting from knocks and abrasive surfaces and storing apart from other stones. Now and then you can rinse it under lukewarm water and pat it dry with a soft cloth.
