A flat Gua Sha massage stone in natural green aventurine that fits comfortably in the hand. Gua Sha is an old method of traditional Chinese massage, used to work the skin with soft, sweeping strokes. The cool touch of the softly shimmering green stone is soothing, and it makes a pleasant tool for a few minutes of relaxing ritual.
Green aventurine
Green aventurine is the greenish, translucent variety of quartz; its soft shimmer comes from tiny embedded flakes of mica (aventurescence). In tradition it is known as a green stone of opportunity and the heart, regarded as a stone of luck and growth – a calm, balanced piece for a skincare routine.
How it is used
Held flat against the skin, the stone is drawn over the face, neck, shoulders, arms or legs with light pressure in outward and upward sweeping movements. Tradition knows Gua Sha as a tool for a refreshing, relaxing massage; with a facial or body oil the stone glides more smoothly.
Properties and size
The stone is made from natural green aventurine and measures about 8 cm. Its curved edges fit the different areas of the body. As a genuine stone, the green shade and veining vary from piece to piece.
Good to know and care
After use, wipe it with a soft, clean cloth and keep it in a dry place; the cooling effect can be enhanced in the fridge. Massage is a pleasant complement to relaxation, not a medical treatment.
