This pine wood gong stand was originally designed to hold smaller drums, but thanks to two rotating hooks fitted in the upper corners, it works just as well for metal gongs up to 70 cm in diameter. Antique-Style Craftsmanship
The stand is a Tibetan-style handcrafted piece from Nepal. The antique appearance is intentional: small irregularities, minor blemishes and patina-like surface marks decorate the wood. How It Holds the Gong
Two small rotating hooks are mounted at the top of the stand. These hold the gong's cords, and you can easily adjust by hand so the gong hangs in exactly the desired position. Gongs up to 70 cm in diameter fit perfectly beneath it, and the wooden structure is solid enough not to dampen the vibrations.
Assembly and Handling
The stand arrives as a do-it-yourself kit – you assemble it yourself, but this requires only a few minutes and minimal tools. The two hooks are already included, so once the cords are attached, the gong can be hung immediately.
Pine Wood Material
The chosen wood is pine, which is light yet stable. The surface has an antique appearance with darker tones and visible grain. The pine is treated with natural lacquer, so it retains its original look for a long time during indoor use.
