The special scent of Golden Nag Champa
This incense belongs to the Vijayshree brand from India, and brings you the distinctive aroma of Plumeria, a tropical flower also known as frangipani in the West. A semi-liquid resin from the Ailanthus Malabarica tree is added to the paste, which gives the stick its characteristic creamy colour and soft, slightly damp texture. The pack contains 12 boxes of 15 grams each.
What this floral aroma gives you
Plumeria has a sweet, floral scent that many people find uplifting – it is often called the happiness aroma. You can burn this incense during an evening read, while unwinding after a bath or during a yoga session. It also makes a kind gift for a loved one who enjoys floral scents.
The Indian tradition of masala making
Masala incense is made by rolling, by hand, a paste of natural resins, flowers and oils onto a bamboo stick. This tradition has developed in India over many centuries. Sticks made this way usually carry a richer scent than simple oil-dipped incense and also burn more slowly.
How to use it at home
Place the stick into a stable, non-flammable holder, light its tip and after a few seconds blow out the flame. The glowing end then releases its aroma slowly into the room. Air your home regularly, and keep the burning stick away from children and pets. A single stick is normally enough for a medium-sized room.
Origin and packaging
The incense comes from India and belongs to the masala line of the Vijayshree workshop. The 12 boxes × 15 grams cardboard packaging protects the aroma during transport.
