What is a glass teapot good for?

A good glass teapot is not only a vessel but a timer: as the water colour deepens, you can see exactly when the strength is right. 800 ml is generous — a single brew yields 4 cups, enough for a friendly conversation or post-dinner togetherness. The round shape is not just aesthetic but practical: water circulates in a ring and saturates the leaves evenly. Ideal for blooming teas, where the bulb has plenty of room to open.

Who is it for?

For families who drink tea together; for welcoming hosts; for those who want to serve several cups at once without re-brewing; for lovers of tea ceremony. A perfect Christmas, birthday or housewarming gift — especially for someone just moving in and looking for the „one big shared teapot”. Light enough to be portable, even taking along to a garden gathering.

Usage tips

Amount: 2-3 teaspoons of loose tea in the strainer for 800 ml (adjust for leaf size and desired strength). Green 70-80 °C, 2-3 min; white 80 °C, 3-5 min; oolong 85-90 °C, 3-5 min; black 90-95 °C, 3-5 min; herbal 100 °C, 5-8 min. Blooming tea unfurls fully in 3-5 min at 90 °C — the bulb can be re-brewed several times. Insert the strainer first, add the tea, then pour hot water. Lift the strainer out when steeping finishes — so the remaining tea doesn't turn bitter.

Storage and cleaning

Rinse with warm water after use. For tannin residue, mild detergent and a soft sponge help. Please avoid abrasive scourers. Always remove the strainer and clean it separately — small leaf fragments easily catch in the fine mesh. If limescale builds up, soak in a vinegar-water mix for 15 minutes, then rinse. Due to the 800 ml volume, drying takes longer — always leave the lid off while drying.
