Tiger's Eye Crystal Obelisk – Column of Light (approx. 7.5–10 cm)

A polished tiger's eye obelisk, approx. 7.5–10 cm – the golden-brown, silky-sheened stone in a tapering column. A piece for home or workspace; known in traditio

The golden-brown bands of tiger's eye come alive as the light turns – as if a ribbon of light were travelling across the stone. This tapering, pointed-tip obelisk, about 7.5–10 cm tall, shows off that warm, lively play of light.

About tiger's eye

Tiger's eye is a golden-brown, silky-lustred quartz coloured by iron compounds and marked by a banded play of light (chatoyancy). In tradition it is connected with the sun and the solar plexus chakra, and known as a stone of courage, grounding and momentum. These meanings belong to the stone's cultural story rather than to any medical effect.

The obelisk shape

The obelisk is an ancient, powerful shape, also called a 'column of light' and regarded as a symbol of renewal. Placed in a living room or study, the feng shui tradition holds it harmonises the space.

Use

The obelisk is an elegant, warm-toned decorative object on a table, a shelf or a desk. Its golden-brown glow gives a homely, lively mood and looks lovely beside darker stones or wood.

Good to know

This is a natural mineral, so size, colour and play of light vary from piece to piece and may differ from the picture. It can be wiped with a soft cloth.
