- How it sounds: drag the mallet along the back
Sound and character
The large frog sound figure produces a distinctive, deep "quaaak-quaaak" that comes surprisingly close to a natural croak. Stroke the mallet along its back towards the head with a slight rotating motion and the frog calls out loudly. Hold one side of the mouth closed and the timbre changes — it becomes thinner and more "talkative".
How to use
It is a great choice for sound stories, children's sessions, meditative sound collections and educational work. Sound therapists like to use it to evoke animal images. In nursery and school groups it grabs attention instantly and offers a playful introduction to the world of sound.
Why this product
With many novelty sound toys the voice stays thin and plasticky. Here the croak is rich and full, and because of the size you also feel the vibration in your hand — that is what makes it so lifelike. Even adults are often surprised by how beautifully it sounds, which makes it a lovely gift.
Care tips
- Move the mallet evenly and slowly with a rotating motion — do not rush
- Try holding one side of the mouth closed for a fresh tonal character
- Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat, so the rubber stays elastic
