The balanced fifty-centimetre size
At 50 cm in diameter (approx. 20 inches) this is the most balanced size in the Natural family: large enough for a deep, full fundamental, yet still easy to hold. It works equally well in a drum circle, a sound bath, a workshop with children or on stage, and it will not outgrow your hands as a beginner.
Seven-ply beech, goatskin head
The frame is made from seven-ply glued beech and stands 8 cm high. Over it a carefully selected goatskin is stretched, giving the Natural range its clean, natural voice. Near the rim you get short, bright taps; in the centre a deep, long-ringing fundamental - and every shade in between is under your hand.
Tuning at ten points
The 10 tuning screws built into the frame let you set the skin tension precisely, and the tuning key is included. A few turns already change the pitch audibly, so you can match the drum to other instruments, to a singing voice or simply to your own taste.
Wooden cross for longer sessions
A wooden holding cross runs inside the shell and gives your hand a firm support. That lets you hold the drum securely while standing or even moving, and keeps your wrist comfortable through longer playing. The drum can be rotated freely under the beater in your other hand.
