Sound and character
This accessory is not an instrument but a protective layer: if you travel often with your Monolina monochord, you know how much it matters that the strings, tuning pins and wooden surfaces stay untouched. The three foam mats are cut to fit inside the Monolina bag and prevent the instrument and its accessories from rubbing against each other. The soft layer absorbs minor knocks and dampens vibration so the sensitive parts will not get scuffed or pressed during transport.
How to use
- The first mat sits between the round stand (RS-28M and RS-28EX) and the instrument so the stand edges do not press into the wood.
- The second mat slips under the strings — it has a cutout for the bridges, so it protects the tuned surface without disturbing the strings.
- The third mat goes above the strings and between the tuning pins to keep the pins from being scratched.
