A white cardboard box for one bottle of wine, 33.5 cm long, 10 cm wide and 10.5 cm high when assembled. Empty, it weighs 240 g. You get one box, made in China.
A magnet holds the lid
The lid folds over onto the side of the box and closes with a magnet. It has an oval opening for the white handle, which is fixed with two gold-coloured clips. That way you carry the bottle by hand in a closed box.
One of the maker's photos shows the box stood on end with the lid open and the bottle inside. Set out like that on a festive table, the label stays on view.
White for weddings and anniversaries
A bottle for the newlyweds, one for a christening, or a wine from someone's birth year looks more festive in white. A thin ribbon round the middle and a card beside the bottle are all it needs. The box is white inside and out, and so is the handle; only the two clips are gold-coloured.
A standard wine bottle fits lying down. Measure a tall, slender bottle before you buy: it should be a little shorter than the box's outside length of 33.5 cm. Before the bottle goes in, wrap it in tissue paper so it does not slide about and the lid shuts neatly.
Putting it together
You will find it flat in the parcel. Peel the backing off the four corners, raise the sides, press the corners into place, then fold the lid down so its opening fits over the handle.
If you have several bottles to wrap, for the wedding witnesses perhaps, the brown kraft and black wine boxes come in the same size.
