A long gift box in brown kraft cardboard, made for one bottle of wine. Assembled, it is 33.5 cm long, 10 cm wide and 10.5 cm high. The lid closes with a magnet, and the empty box weighs 240 g. You get one box, made in China.
A standard wine bottle fits
The bottle lies down inside, just as in the maker's photos. Most wine bottles are shorter than the box, but measure a tall, slender bottle before you buy: it should be a little shorter than the box's outside length of 33.5 cm.
Wrap the bottle in tissue paper or a napkin so it does not roll about and the lid shuts neatly. You can also use the box for fruit brandy, homemade cordial or olive oil, as long as the bottle is a similar size.
A handle that shows through the lid
On the long side there is a curved, kraft-coloured handle held by two gold-coloured clips. The lid has an oval opening, and when you fold it down the handle comes through, so you can carry the box with the lid shut. No need for a separate carrier bag when you take a bottle to friends.
Arrives flat, ready in three steps
Lay it down and peel the white backing off the four corners. Raise the sides and press the corners into place. Finally fold the lid over so its opening sits over the handle.
Natural kraft suits a bottle brought home from a winery or a Christmas parcel. If you want a ribbon as well, tie it round the middle of the box so the handle stays free. For several bottles, the black and white wine boxes come in the same size.
