A lidded gift box in brown kraft cardboard, 24 cm wide, 18.2 cm deep and 8 cm high when assembled. There is a curved handle on the front, and the lid closes with a magnet. Empty, it weighs 220 g. You get one box, made in China.
What fits in 8 cm of height?
This is a wide, shallow box for flatter gifts. A bar or two of soap, a candle in a tin, a box of tea, a bar of chocolate, a folded scarf. An A5 notebook or a slim book lies in it as well.
For homemade jam or honey, only a low jar will do, no taller than 7 cm. Fill any gaps with shredded paper so nothing slides around on the way. You could also line it with a checked tea towel, which then becomes part of the gift.
With no basket to hand, you can put a gift hamper together in it, and it carries just as easily by its handle.
Kraft with a jute ribbon
Natural brown kraft suits homemade gifts. Tie a jute ribbon or some twine across it, tuck a handwritten tag underneath, and it is done. The handle is kraft-coloured and held by two gold-coloured clips. If you tie a ribbon round it, leave the handle free so you can still carry it.
Corners, sides, lid
In the parcel it lies flat. Lay it down, peel the white backing off the four corners, raise the sides and press the corners into place. As you close the lid, line its oval opening up with the handle, so you can carry the box with the lid shut.
