A lidded gift box made of black cardboard. Assembled, it is 24 cm wide, 18.2 cm deep and 8 cm high, with a curved black handle on the front. Empty, it weighs 220 g. You get one box, made in China.
For flat gifts, with a handle
This box is for small, flat presents. A notebook and pen, a wallet, a tie, a shaving soap with its brush. A pack of playing cards or a pair of socks belongs here too. Eight centimetres is not much height, so tall jars and bottles are not for this one.
Keep the contents from moving: line the bottom with shredded paper or tissue, and the notebook and wallet stay put while you carry it by the handle. Wrap the wallet or tie in tissue paper first, so there is still something to unwrap once the lid is off.
The lid closes with a magnet. It has an oval opening that the handle comes through, so you can carry the box closed. Handing it over in person, you will not need a bag.
Gold-coloured clips on black
Two gold-coloured clips hold the handle, and that is the only decoration on the black box. It is black inside too, so no brown card shows when it is opened. A white or gold ribbon and a card go well with it.
How to fold it
We ship it flat. Peel the backing off the four corners, raise the sides and press the corners into place. Finally fold the lid down with its opening over the handle. You need neither glue nor scissors.
The same size also comes in brown kraft and white. If you are giving a bottle of wine as well, the matching black wine box is 33.5 × 10 × 10.5 cm.
