Three claps, free hands
With its three clap sounds, the FlapBoard brings a lot of color into play - as if three castanets were working for you. The included board and percussion bracket let you integrate the flaps into your drum set or percussion setup, so your hands stay free for fast castanet figures.
Magnet and Velcro - the clever part
A built-in magnet returns the flaps precisely to their starting position, while Velcro holds them in place. This low-wear pre-tensioning keeps the sound even after every stroke and makes the mechanism very durable.
Birch with a surprisingly present attack
The instrument is made of multi-layered birch, which gives the claps a surprisingly firm, clearly audible attack. It measures approx. 29 x 22 x 7 cm and weighs about 1.2 kg - solid enough to stay in place even during energetic playing.
Where will you use it?
In the studio, on stage or on the road: the FlapBoard opens up new worlds of sound wherever you take it. We recommend it to drummers and percussionists who want to expand their palette - and to anyone who loves the castanet sound while playing another instrument. Made in Germany. The wooden surface only needs an occasional wipe with a dry cloth to stay in good shape.
