Tradition of the fortune bringing frog
In the feng shui tradition, the frog depicted with a coin in its mouth symbolises prosperity, abundance and good fortune. Traditionally it is placed near the front door, head turned toward the entrance, to guide fortune and material abundance into the home. You receive a beautifully crafted, compact piece carrying many warm meanings.
Size and placement
The 5 by 3.5 centimetre size is small, so it easily fits on an entrance shelf, on a table or on the side of a bookshelf. The gold coloured polyresin surface gives the piece a warm glow, making it noticeable on its own. You do not need to prepare a special spot, just a stable, level surface.
Where to place it
The traditional placement is near the front door, facing inward. If you do not have a suitable spot for this, it also looks beautiful in the living room, on the office desk or on an entrance console table. The five centimetre width fits well even on a narrow shelf.
Material and craftsmanship
The piece is made of polyresin, which holds fine detail well and is easy to clean with a soft cloth. The surface is gold coloured, smooth and stain resistant. The total weight is 68 grams, so it is easy to move if you want to relocate it to another room. The piece is made in China and arrives in cardboard packaging.
As a housewarming gift
Many of our customers choose this little frog statuette for a housewarming or shop opening celebration. A nicely wrapped piece carries a kind message: we wish fortune and abundance to the new surroundings. You do not need to add many words, the traditional meaning speaks for itself.
