The Feng Shui Flower of Life pendant is a flat disc cut from lead crystal, engraved with the traditional six-petal motif of interlocking circles. Hung up, the crystal turns slightly with air movement and breaks incoming sunlight into small rainbow spots on the wall.
What the Flower of Life motif depicts
The Flower of Life is an ancient geometric symbol found in many cultures, made up of overlapping circles forming a regular, petal-like pattern. You do not need to know the related traditions to enjoy the calm, harmonious drawing of the motif within the back-lit glass.
Where to hang it
We recommend a window where direct sunlight reaches for several hours a day, typically facing south or east. With the included cord you can hang it from a ceiling hook, curtain rod or window frame. In a meditation corner, placed in front of a lower window, the morning sun softly highlights the Flower of Life pattern.
The light effect
The cut edges of the disc and the engraved lines refract the light together. The spots on the wall are smaller and softer-edged than from a classic ball, and often the geometric pattern of the Flower of Life itself is projected onto the nearby surface, which is especially lovely in low-angle morning light.
Cleaning and care
Wipe the surface weekly with a soft microfibre cloth. Clean fingerprints gently with lukewarm water, and avoid abrasive or alcohol-based cleaners, as the fine edges of the engraving can scratch. Check the cord once a year for wear at the hook.
What else to keep in mind
The pendant arrives in protective packaging. When hanging, make sure the hook is stable and that the crystal cannot strike a window frame or other hard object while turning. Do not leave it freely swinging near a small child or cat.
