Blue, grey or mustard background
The photos show blue, grey and mustard yellow backgrounds. Which colours go into a pack, and how many of each, varies from pack to pack, and they can't be chosen individually. If you are giving them as gifts and the colour matters a lot, it is worth knowing this in advance. The felt ball on the zip pull also changes colour from version to version.
Pencil case or make-up bag
Its 21 cm length takes a pencil or a longer pen, so a pouch works as a pencil case in a school bag. With several schoolchildren in the family, the 3 pouches mean one each. In a handbag one can hold lipstick, powder and a small mirror.
Packed in a suitcase, it keeps chargers and cables apart, so they don't get tangled among your clothes.
Hand stitching around the cats
The cats are cut from separate pieces of felt and sewn onto the pouch all round with small hand stitches. The heart on the white cat's chest is a separate appliqué too. Wool felt doesn't fray, so the pieces need no hemming. Because they are made by hand, the shape and position of the cats can vary slightly from pouch to pouch.
Dab marks gently with a damp cloth and let it dry. Machine washing can shrink wool felt and spoil the shape of the appliqués.
