A pack of 3 small wool felt pouches, each about 14 cm wide, 11.5 cm high and 1 cm deep. Six five-petalled felt flowers stand out in two rows on the front, each with a tiny felt ball at its centre. Inside is a cotton lining, the top closes with a zip, and another felt ball hangs from the pull. Handmade in Nepal.
Pink, pale blue or green base
The photos show pouches with a pink, a pale blue and an olive green base, each with different coloured flowers. Which colours go into a pack, and how many of each, varies from pack to pack, and they can't be chosen individually. As each is made by hand, the position and shade of the flowers vary slightly.
Felt balls rolled from wool
The tiny balls at the centre of the flowers are wool felt too. Balls like these are rolled by hand in soapy water until they are firm and round. So they are not all identical; one is a little bigger, another a little flatter.
A purse for a small bag
At 14 cm a pouch is meant for small things, such as coins, cards, keys, a pair of earrings or a charging cable. If you carry a small handbag, you can use one as a purse, as a few folded banknotes fit too. When you go away, it is a handy place for your jewellery.
A flowery little gift
For a name day, as a thank-you, or alongside a bigger present, it is a sweet little extra. With 3 in the pack, you are covered for several name days in the same month. Tuck a small surprise inside, a bracelet or a sprig of lavender, and there is no need for gift wrap.
Dab marks gently with a damp cloth. Machine washing can shrink wool felt and flatten the flowers.
