Sound and character
The small felt ring is designed to let smaller singing bowls vibrate freely while keeping them from sliding on the surface. The soft felt layer on top barely supports the rim of the bowl, so the sound can develop fully. The rubber underside prevents slipping and provides a stable working base.
How to use
Place the small bowl in the centre of the felt ring, making sure the rim does not overhang. It is well suited to small meditation bowls, to bowls placed on specific points of the body during therapy, or to travel use. The contact area between bowl and ring is minimal, so the overtones can be heard in full.
Why this product
The 8 cm diameter is sized exactly for singing bowls of 200–700 g and up to 18 cm in diameter. A smaller pad would let the bowl sit unstably, while a larger one would absorb a significant part of the overtones. The ring also protects surfaces from being scratched by the bowl's rim.
Care tips
- Always set it on a flat, dry surface.
- If you work with several bowls, keep different ring sizes in your kit.
- Protect the felt from moisture and chemicals.
- Brush the surface occasionally after long use to remove dust.
