This coaster is made of soft felt and shows a fox in warm shades of orange and cream. It measures about 21 cm long, 11.5 cm wide and 1 cm thick. Each one is made by hand in Nepal, so the pattern and colours may differ slightly from the photo.
Under your mug, protecting the table
At 21 cm it is much longer than the base of a mug, so you can set down a full, large mug or a teacup with room to spare, and the teaspoon fits beside it.
The felt protects the tabletop from the heat of a hot drink, from drips running down the side of the mug and from small spills. So the hot mug never sits directly on a wooden tabletop, and on a glass top the cup doesn't clatter when you put it down.
It is at home under the afternoon tea on a desk, on the coffee table, or on the kitchen counter next to your morning coffee.
A little fox on the kitchen table
The orange and cream make a cheerful spot of colour on a plain tablecloth or a wooden tabletop. If you like woodland animal decorations, the fox suits an autumn table, but it can stay out all year round.
It also makes a sweet little gift. Give it together with a mug or a box of tea and the present is ready, no special occasion needed.
If tea or coffee drips on it
Blot it straight away with a dry paper towel, before it soaks in. Smaller marks can be wiped gently with a cloth dampened in lukewarm water; then let it dry at room temperature. We don't recommend soaking it or putting it in the washing machine, as the felt can lose its shape.
