Felt coasters for singing bowls and such
The tradition of the Tibetan singing bowl
The Tibetan singing bowl is a centuries-old sound-therapy and meditative instrument, made in the borderlands of Nepal, Tibet and India. The bowl is made of bronze alloy in the traditional way. When played it produces a clear, long-lasting fundamental tone, often accompanied by overtones that bring deep calm and concentration.
How to use it?
As a signal to begin or end meditation, for chakra balancing, for sound therapy, or simply to refresh the energy of a space. It can be sounded with a gentle strike (with a felt or wooden mallet) or by rubbing the rim in circular motion – this brings out the continuous singing tone.
