A pack of 8 Christmas felt figures, each with a hanging loop on top. Each figure is about 15 cm tall, 6 cm wide and 4 cm deep. They are felted by hand in Nepal, so each one is a little different. The photo shows Santa, a reindeer, a festive mouse, a robin, an elf, a bell and a Christmas tree.
Eight figures, mixed
Which figures go into a pack, and how many of each, varies from pack to pack. They can't be chosen individually, and their colours and shapes may differ from the photo. In the photo the loops differ too: some are gold cord, others red ribbon.
The robin has long been the bird of British Christmas cards, and in winter it can be spotted in gardens across Europe.
On a bag, a branch or a present
During Advent you can wear one on a bag handle or a backpack strap. Before Christmas Eve, hang them on the branches of the tree or tie one to the ribbon of a wrapped present, so the decoration becomes part of the gift.
They also fit in a Saint Nicholas parcel on 6 December, next to the sweets and a tangerine. With several children in the family, the 8 figures go round every parcel. In an Advent calendar they make eight days of surprises, and on the tree they look lovely side by side.
After the holidays
When the season is over, wrap them in paper and store them with your other Christmas decorations, and they will be ready again next December. The figures are made for decoration and are not toys. Keep them away from water and brush off dust with a soft brush.
