A pack of 8 slender felt figures, fairies and mermaids mixed. Each figure is about 22 cm long, 4.5 cm wide and 3 cm deep. They are felted by hand in Nepal, and the outfit, hair and little details are stitched on. Each has a hanging loop on top.

In the photo the fairies have wings and long, thin legs, wear scarves and little hats, and have flowers embroidered on their dresses. The mermaids have yarn hair, and their tails are decorated with white stitches. Many people know the mermaid from Andersen's tale, The Little Mermaid.
How many fairies and how many mermaids are among the 8 varies from pack to pack, and they can't be chosen individually. Their hair, outfits and colours may differ from the picture.
A long charm that hangs nicely
At 22 cm, about a hand span, this is one of the longer figures, so it hangs well from the handle of a larger shoulder bag or backpack. If you want one on your keys, bear in mind it will be longer than the bunch.
Fixing it is simple. The loop sits at the head, so the figure hangs straight down. Loop it over the handle, push the figure through the loop and pull it tight. At home it can also hang from a window handle or a wall hook. Tied to the ribbon of a wrapped present it looks lovely too, and whoever opens the gift can keep the figure. The 8 figures are enough to give one to everyone in a group of friends or in the family.
When they get dusty
The figures are decorations, not toys. Brush the dust off with a soft brush. Don't try to wash them, as felt can lose its shape in water and the yarn hair may tangle. If the hair gets ruffled, smooth it gently with your fingers.
