Sound and character
The large Feeltone Fundamental singing bowl speaks with an especially powerful, deep fundamental. It fills the space with a wide, rich overtone field, and the vibration draws clearly downward, supporting grounding and body awareness. The sustained ring is at once strong and soft — a sonic blanket in which both you and your client can settle into depth.
How to use
Place the bowl on an appropriately sized felt ring, or directly on the body, typically over the pelvis or lower back. The felt mallet produces a responsive struck tone, while a leather or felt friction stick run around the rim creates a long, sung sustain. In group sessions you can let it sound from the centre of the room on the floor, where the deep field reaches every participant.
Why this product
This size is a centrepiece of the Fundamental range: the 29 cm diameter and 2 kg mass guarantee a deep, body-felt resonance. It is recommended above all for practitioners who put grounding, stability and inner strength at the heart of their sound work. As a Premium piece, the tonal quality is individually checked by Feeltone.
Care tips
- Use a felt ring of sufficient diameter to allow the long sustain to develop.
- Do not eat or drink from the bowl — the rim may have sharp spots.
- Lift and store carefully on a stable surface, given its weight.
- Wipe with a dry or barely damp soft cloth, without chemical cleaners.
