Sound and character
The larger Feeltone Essence singing bowl speaks with a full, long-lasting voice and a clearly felt deep vibration. The sound field works directly on the body: the chest, shoulders and neck pick up the resonance, while the sustained fundamental and the soft layers of overtones build a warm, supportive sonic blanket. The voice is at once stable and open — suitable for solo use as well as for combination with other instruments.
How to use
Place the bowl on a felt ring, or directly onto the body with an appropriate cushion. Strike it with the felt mallet using gentle, decisive impulses, or sing it with circular motions using a leather or felt friction stick. For sound massage you can rest the bowl on the chest, shoulder or near the head; for group meditations let it sound from the centre of the space, on the floor or a low riser.
