This traditional protection amulet strings together a glass nazar "eye" and deep-blue sodalite in a light, hangable strand. It looks well near the front door, on a window, at a favourite spot in the home, or from a car's rear-view mirror.
The nazar and sodalite
The nazar is the well-known blue "eye" bead, recognised in many traditions as a protective amulet, a ward against negative energy and envy. Beside it sits sodalite, a deep-blue, often white-veined mineral; tradition holds it as a stone of insight, inner peace and clear communication.
Placement and care
It can be hung anywhere a gentle, symbolic gesture of protection is welcome. It is about 20 cm long. Sodalite is a durable stone, yet it is still worth protecting from knocks; a soft, barely damp cloth is enough to clean it. As it contains a natural stone, its shade and veining vary slightly from piece to piece.
