This traditional protection amulet brings together a glass nazar "eye" and natural selenite in a light, hangable strand. It can be suspended near the front door, by a window, at a favourite spot in the home, or even from a car's rear-view mirror.
The nazar and selenite
The nazar – the well-known blue "eye" bead – is a protective amulet in many traditions, regarded as a ward against negative energy and envy. Beside it sits selenite, the translucent, silky variety of gypsum; tradition treats it as a stone of clearness and calm, often used to symbolically cleanse spaces.
Placement and care
It can be hung anywhere a gentle, symbolic gesture of protection feels welcome. It is about 20 cm long. Selenite is a soft, moisture-sensitive mineral, so protect it from damp and knocks; care for it with a dry, soft cloth. As it contains a natural stone, every piece is a little unique.
