The solar plexus chakra and its bright mood
Manipura, the solar plexus chakra, is in traditional yoga teaching the seat of inner strength, confidence and bright presence. This essential oil blend gently supports this area with a warm, spicy-citrus composition. Ginger, lemon, rosemary and other lively notes meet in a way that brings a lively yet calm presence into the room.
What mood it creates for you
The first minutes usually carry the lively freshness of the citrus notes, which slowly give way to the warm spicy note of ginger. You will notice that your attention falls into order more easily, and instead of morning drowsiness, a pleasant, open presence rises. Many love it at the start of a busy day, as it supports a sense of action without feeling heavy.
How to use it well
In a diffuser, add three to five drops together with about two dozen drops of water, and adjust to the size of the room. After a shower you can place it on a steam vaporiser, or drop it onto an aroma stone near your desk. On the skin, use only when diluted in jojoba or almond oil at up to two per cent, and always do a small skin test on the arm before use.
What to watch out for
Avoid the area around the eyes, the mucous membranes and any broken or inflamed skin. Keep the blend out of reach of children and, in a home with small ones, prefer diffuser use. During pregnancy, breastfeeding or any known respiratory condition, consult a doctor about use. Around pets be mindful of cats, which have sensitive breathing, and ensure good ventilation.
Storage and life
Keep the bottle closed in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight. The blend changes more slowly this way and holds its lively character for longer. By nature of essential oils, the notes rearrange softly in the air within a few hours, so it is best timed to fresh, waking moments. A single small bottle can accompany your morning ritual for weeks.
