A hand-painted aluminium incense tray — blue Hamsa hand
This compact incense tray is made in India from polished aluminium with a hand-painted enamel finish. The 20 x 9 x 2 cm size fits the usual straight Indian sticks and cone-shaped incense, while the slightly raised edges hold the ash so it does not scatter across the table.
The motif and the hand finish
The blue Hamsa hand design gives the tray a warm, decorative character. Because every tray is painted by hand, fine differences in line work and colour depth are normal — your piece has its own visual fingerprint, not a printed copy. The polished aluminium reflects light gently and keeps the colours looking fresh.
How to use it
Stand the tray on a flat, heat-resistant surface. Place a stick into the central hole and check that it sits steady before lighting; for cone incense, set the cone in the middle of the tray. The raised rim catches ash so the area around the tray stays clean.
Care
Let the ash cool fully, then brush it away with a soft cloth. For a deeper clean, wipe with warm, lightly soapy water and dry at once. Do not use abrasive scourers, as they can scratch the hand-painted finish.
