Its material is biodegradable PLA (polylactic acid, from corn). The hinged lid is attached to the box, so closing is quick and there is no separate top.
Important note
PLA is a heat-sensitive material: do not use it in a conventional or microwave oven, and do not use it with food or drinks hotter than 40°C. Store it away from heat and direct sunlight.
