The 90 cm diameter, 31 cm deep beech wood drum frame is the largest and deepest frame model in the feeltone workshop. We recommend this size for those who want to build an impressive, deep-voiced ceremonial or community drum. Thin beech strips are wound four times and bent into shape so the frame can safely carry the larger diameter.

Sound and character
The large diameter combined with the deep frame produces an especially powerful, rumbling fundamental tone. The skin stretched on the frame vibrates slowly and for a long time, giving a rich, full-bodied sound that fills the room.
How to use
We recommend it for community ceremonies, sound baths, building shamanic drums and large frame drums. An instrument built like this can become the centerpiece of guided drum circles and rituals.
Why this product
At this size the stability of the frame is decisive, because the stretched skin exerts significant force on it. The four-layer winding and the thicker wall ensure that the frame does not twist during use.
Care tips
- The sawn surface can be sharp, sand it before working with the skin.
- Oil the wood with hard wax oil before stretching the skin.
- Avoid sudden changes in temperature and humidity.
