The 90 cm diameter, 16 cm deep beech wood drum frame is one of feeltone's largest frame models, designed by the workshop for building large drums with a moderately deep voice. Made with the four-layer winding technique, the frame holds the stretched skin firmly while the 16 cm depth keeps the finished instrument easier to handle.

Sound and character
The large diameter combined with the relatively shallow frame yields a wide, full fundamental tone that you can feel in your body. The skin vibration develops more freely, so the instrument has a more open character than the 31 cm deep version.
How to use
We recommend it for community drum circles, ceremonial drums and sound therapy work, for those who want a drum with a large sound body that is still portable and comfortable to hold.
Why this product
The 16 cm depth is a good compromise between volume and comfortable use. Alongside the large diameter, the shallower frame is less tiring during longer playing and easier to store.
Care tips
- The sawn edges can feel sharp, smooth them with fine sandpaper.
- Oil the wood before stretching the skin onto it.
- Store in a dry room with stable humidity.
