Sound and character
The 55 cm beech frame is the largest size in the classic flat-format frame drum range. The base for a deep, resonant, loud drum — particularly suited to group ceremonies where the sound must fill a large space. Expect a strong, richly coloured voice.

Choose this frame if you want to build a really large, deep-voiced ceremonial drum. The four-layer construction stays stable even under strong tension. Our 55 cm horsehide fits perfectly, so every element of the build is coordinated.

Care tips
- Wear gloves — the sawn surface may have splinters.
- Before lacing, sand the hide contact area smooth.
