This dreamcatcher brings two ancient symbols together in one contemporary ornament: the classic woven circle and the blue Nazar motif at its centre. The feathers give it the familiar, softly swaying look.
Two traditions in one ornament
The dreamcatcher comes from Native American tradition, where it is believed to filter dreams during sleep, letting only good, beneficial dreams pass through. The Nazar is a widely recognised protective symbol against the 'evil eye' across the Mediterranean and the Middle East. In this design the two motifs meet in a single contemporary piece.
Good to know
It measures about 55 × 15 cm, made of a metal frame, textile thread, a glass 'eye' motif and feathers. A lightweight piece that can hang on a wall or in a window. It is intended for decorative use only.
Placing
It looks loveliest hung on a wall, in front of a window or in a cosy corner. Protect the feathers from dust; wipe gently with a dry cloth.
