The weight and meaning of the larger size
This version is clearly a presentation-grade set: the bell is 11 cm tall, the dorje is 22 cm long, and together they weigh 625 g. You receive a paired object that already creates an important focal point in a living room or on a household altar by its very presence. The larger size shows in the depth of the sound as well: the bell tone is full, deep and long-ringing.
Dorje and bell — the unity of the two principles
In the Buddhist tradition the dorje stands for the male principle, that is method, love and compassion. The bell, in contrast, carries the female principle of wisdom, the interconnectedness of all phenomena. Together they present a balance that many find worth reflecting on in a broader life-philosophy sense. You receive a thoughtfully composed set with a beautifully rounded message.
Ganesha and OM on the handles
The handle of each object bears the figure of the deity Ganesha and the OM symbol. Ganesha is the helper before new beginnings and difficult situations, invoked before a new venture, a housewarming, the birth of a child or an important decision. OM recalls the shared starting point of all sound. On the larger size, the two emblems appear with rich detail and clear visibility.
Where this size is the right choice for you
If you are setting up a household altar, hosting a shared family blessing on New Year's Day, or running a yoga or meditation studio, the 22 cm dorje and 11 cm bell size really comes into its own. You will become the owner of a paired object that can be handed down through generations, and around which beautiful family stories are likely to gather.
Hand-craft and durability
Both objects are hand-cast and hand-polished in Nepal. The combined 625 g weight indicates that the brass is generously thick, which ensures long life and a deep, beautiful sustain. The surface develops a gentle patina over time; if you want to bring back the shine, rub it gently with a soft cotton cloth. We do not recommend detergent or metal cleaners, in order to protect the engravings.
