The F-tone of the heart and the green lotus
The 4th chakra, Anahata, traditionally represents the inner space of the heart, love and relationships. The corresponding F-tone produces a soft, soothing vibration that you can feel most clearly in the centre of your chest. The 20 centimetre bowl is made of pure quartz powder, with a 432 Hz fundamental frequency, and a green lotus motif on the outside accompanies the sound.
Package and accessories
The 1530 gram bowl comes with a mallet and a rubber stability ring. The rubber ring holds the bowl steady on a smooth table or carpet and helps to bring out its most beautiful, longest sustaining sound. With different mallet materials – rubber, leather or felt – you can draw various tone colours from the same bowl.
How to use it in daily life
Many people sound the F-tone bowl after a long day, or when they are preparing for a difficult conversation with a loved one. The soft vibration nicely accompanies a gratitude journal, a breathing exercise and minutes of silent meditation. If you would like to think of someone quietly, you can hold their name or a shared memory before you while the sound is building.
Playing and handling
Lead the mallet around the outer edge with circular, even movements, slowly and with gentle pressure at first. As the sound builds, you may gently speed up, but the pressure should always remain kind. A difference of a few hertz from the stated pitch is completely normal. Never use a wooden mallet on a crystal bowl, as it may damage the surface.
Safety, storage, care
Never place anyone's head over the bowl, and do not strike it too loudly directly next to another person's ear. When using several bowls together, leave a comfortable distance between them. After use, wipe the bowl with a soft, dry cloth and store it in a dry, dust-free place, away from direct sunlight.
