The sound of the rainbow bowl
Crystal singing bowls are made of pure quartz powder heated to several thousand degrees Celsius, which is why they produce a deep, full vibration. This 20 centimetre piece is tuned to F-tone with a 432 Hz fundamental frequency and carries cheerful rainbow shades on its surface, so it gives you an uplifting feeling not only when you hear it but also when you look at it.

The bowl comes with a comfortable carrying bag that protects it during travel, so you can calmly take it to a meditation session, a sound bath or to a beloved friend. A mallet and a rubber stability ring are also included, holding the bowl steady on a smooth table or carpet and helping to bring out its most beautiful, longest sustaining sound.
How to play it
Place the bowl on the rubber ring on a stable surface. Lead the mallet around the outer edge with circular, even movements, slowly and with gentle pressure at first. As the sound builds, you may gently speed up, but the pressure should always remain kind. Different mallet materials – such as rubber, leather or felt – bring out differently coloured tones, so you may find it worthwhile to try several. Never use a wooden mallet on a crystal bowl, as it may damage the surface.
Safe use
The crystal bowl is a sensitive object, so it is worth following a few simple rules. Never place anyone's head over the bowl, and do not strike it too loudly close to another person's head. When using several bowls together, leave a comfortable distance between them, as the vibrations may harm them. If someone has metal pins or metal joints in their body, it is worth asking in advance whether a bowl playing close by would disturb them.
Storage and care
After use wipe the bowl with a soft, dry cloth and place it back into the carrying bag. Store it in a dry, dust-free place, away from direct sunlight. Even with a single singing bowl it can happen that the pitch differs by a few hertz from the stated value – this is completely normal and is not a quality fault.
