The unique message of the F note
This crystal singing bowl is tuned to the musical F note at a 432 Hz base frequency. The F note is traditionally associated with the heart chakra, and invites loving acceptance and inner peace. When you gently rotate the mallet around the rim, a pure, slowly arching base tone emerges and gradually fills the space. You will notice that the resonance softly lingers in the room even after the rim has come to rest – this is thanks to the distinctive, dense ring of quartz crystal glass.
How you can use it in your hands
Thanks to the handheld design you can move the bowl directly close to the body, even along your own energy centres. We particularly recommend it for F note heart-centred meditation, gratitude practice and gentle sound therapy. Sit comfortably, hold the rim in one palm and use the wood- or leather-tipped mallet with the other to softly raise the resonance. Move it slowly in small circles near the hand – you will almost tangibly feel the sound travelling through the skin and the breath.
Material and craftsmanship
The bowl is made of optically transparent quartz crystal glass – this appearance highlights the craft character and makes the mallet movement visible inside the bowl. This type responds to you more sensitively than the opal-white variants: it answers even a very gentle gesture with a rich, detailed base tone. The surface receives its final form through careful grinding, the rim is gently bevelled. Knocks or drops can crack the crystal glass, so it is worth handling it slowly and carefully.
How to play it correctly
Hold the mallet by its centre grip and start guiding it slowly and evenly around the outer rim. During the first few passes only a faint whisper can be heard, then the crystal gradually settles in and the sustained base tone emerges. Do not force the volume: if you guide the mallet too quickly or too forcefully, the resonance may turn into an unpleasant, metallic scraping. A single soft tap (like a bell strike) can also sound the bowl – you will hear a pure tone slowly unfolding.
Storage and care
Store the bowl on a flat, horizontal surface with a soft pad underneath. The package includes the padded carry case so you can safely transport the bowl to a class or a shared meditation. For cleaning, use a soft, lightly damp cloth. With children or pets nearby, always place the bowl in a stable, non-slip spot – the crystal glass can be damaged if dropped.
