Advantages of the medium size in daily practice
This medium size crystal singing bowl is an excellent choice if you are past the introductory phase and seek a fuller, deeper sound. Tuned to the B note at 432 Hz, the tone is rich and remarkably sustained. It performs well at home, in a yoga studio, or within a meditation circle. Despite its size, it remains easy to lift, so you can take it off the shelf whenever you wish to use it.
What you may feel when it plays
When you sound the bowl, the tone rises gradually, fills the space, and then fades slowly. Many practitioners report that during the sustained humming, their breathing deepens and slows, and silence becomes easier to maintain. With daily use, you will gradually learn how to shape the tone using different movements of the mallet.
You can include it in many practices
It serves as an outstanding centerpiece bowl during sound bath sessions. Use it as a closing ritual at the end of a yoga class, as an anchor point during breath work, or for simple silent practice. If you work as a therapist, you can create a home-like experience for your guests during a session. In a family setting, it enriches shared moments of quiet.
How to play it correctly
Place the bowl on a soft pad so it will not slide. Hold the mallet loosely, without gripping. First strike the rim gently to produce a starting tone. Then trace the outer rim with slow, even circular motions. The sound builds up gradually. Too rapid a movement may produce a grating noise, so a calm pace works best.
Care and storage
Store the medium bowl on a stable, level surface. Protect it from dust with a soft cloth. Avoid strong impacts, as quartz crystal is fragile. If you transport it regularly, we recommend pairing it with an accessory padded carrying bag.
