This three-piece crystal tuning fork set sounds in 440 Hz tuning – today's most widespread concert pitch – so the forks sit well alongside instruments and the familiar musical world. Made of pure clear quartz, they ring for minutes from a single gentle tap.
What the set contains
The chakra tuning set holds three forks: the C-note fork of the root chakra (about 38–40 cm), the F-note fork of the heart chakra (about 35–38 cm) and the B-note fork of the crown chakra (about 39–41 cm). The set comes with three silicone-covered mallets and a padded aluminium carrying case, plus a multilingual leaflet. The rod is about 2 cm in diameter, the material is 99.9% pure quartz, and the note letter is marked on the head of each handle.
The 440 Hz tuning
440 Hz is the internationally standard tuning reference, to which most instruments are also tuned. For anyone who wishes to work together with other instruments, or who prefers the familiar pitch, this tuning is the natural choice.
The tradition of the chakras
Eastern spiritual tradition describes the body through subtle energy centres – chakras – arranged along the spine, from the base to the crown. Each main chakra is associated with a different quality and level of awareness. This set gives one note each to three centres – root, heart and crown – so that practice traces a unified arc.
How to use it
Strike the fork with the silicone-covered mallet, then bring it near the ear or above the body and let the tone slowly fade. In the sound-therapy tradition the crystal-clear vibration is held to support focus and calm; this is best understood as traditional experience rather than a measurable promise.
Care and attention
The crystal forks are fragile: protect them from falls, and store them in the padded case after use. A soft, dry cloth is best for cleaning.
